Marketplace returns: conversation logs for operating reviews

Review conversation logs for operating reviews in Marketplace returns. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Platform refund and return handling happens order by order, not as one consolidated event tied to a single livestream commitment. A refund application, a return waybill, quality-inspection photos and a refund approval are produced at different points and held in different systems: the after-sales back office, customer-service chat, WMS receiving and payment refund records. Operating reports and exception reviews therefore need each conversation log checked against a specific order and a specific session. Sessions created through different entry points carry different identities and should not be merged into one statistic. The data changes per order and daily, and any report scope has to follow that rhythm. This page covers the log layer only. Reconciliation, retention and compliance review belong to a full business solution implemented elsewhere; the presence of a log does not mean a compliance audit has been completed.

Constraints at the conversation logs step

Conversation identity is checked with chatId against the target conversation and the business record. When the run detail of the conversation interface is needed, set detail according to the official contract and inspect responseData. The fields actually returned by the log and the interface are the basis for checking; business data that is not returned cannot be treated as fully retained. Test-mode and production calls may carry different identity fields, so input, history and returned content are checked separately. Retrieval and forms do not constitute authorization. A pending review is not an approval, and an offered option is not an execution.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample: A platform after-sales specialist processes a refund application for Order A on 10 March 2025. The source material reads: "Refund application number R-0310, order number A, application date 10 March 2025, refund amount 120 yuan, return waybill number L-7788, two quality-inspection photos showing outer packaging damage, refund approval status pending review." The draft sentence under review reads: "The refund for this order has been approved and completed." Checking requires comparing the approval status field with the wording of the draft sentence. A pending-review status does not support "approved." No completed refund record for this order appears in the payment refund records, so the draft sentence is unsupported.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemDocumented setting or implementation checkRelation to this page's sample
appIdObtained from the application detail path; passed in the request body as body.appIdConfirms the application the sample belongs to
chatIdA non-empty string means the session is fetched from the database; length under 250Confirms session ownership of the sample
dataIdThe ID of one conversation under a sessionLocates the sample conversation record
detailSet to true when intermediate values are needed; in non-stream mode the result is in responseDataChecks the sample run detail
offset and pageSizeOffset and record count for the session list and conversation listFor this hypothetical trial, offset starts at 0 and pageSize at 20, chosen so the returned total can be compared to confirm whether the sample falls inside the range
loadCustomFeedbacksOptional parameter for reading custom feedbackChecks whether the sample feedback field is present

Three common errors

  1. Merging sessions from different entry points that share a chatId into one calculation. In the sample, R-0310 comes from an API-created session; page sessions should not be folded into the same statistic. Check: input the sample chatId with source=api, compare whether the returned list contains only API-origin sessions, and observe whether page sessions are excluded.
  2. Writing a pending-review status as approved. The sample approval status field is pending review, while the draft sentence states approved. Check: input the sample draft sentence and the approval status field, compare the two values, and observe whether the same field carries mutually exclusive values. Pending review and approved are mutually exclusive values.
  3. Treating responseData missing when detail is off as proof that the log was not retained. Check: input the sample request with detail=false, compare whether responseData exists in the returned body, and observe that its absence follows from the request parameter not being enabled. This does not support a conclusion that business data was not retained.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the sample Order A and chatId, call the conversation list, compare whether the returned dataId corresponds to the conversation containing R-0310, and observe the relationship between the list total and offset and pageSize to confirm the sample falls inside the returned range.
  2. Input the sample with detail=true and stream=false, compare the moduleName and moduleType of each element in responseData, and observe whether node run detail is returned, confirming the run detail can be checked.
  3. Input the sample draft sentence and the approval status field, compare whether the values of the same field are mutually exclusive, and observe whether pending review and approved appear together. If the draft sentence and the field disagree, the sentence is judged unsupported, and the evidence gap for approval and refund completion is preserved.
