What the documents look like
Returned-goods inspection handles inbound reverse parcels and assigned item grades. It does not process outbound picking and packing for new orders. The working materials are the return warehouse receipt, inspection photographs, the grade determination sheet, and the resale listing sheet. Data sources named in the brief are the WMS returns module, platform after-sales records, carrier return items, and the inspection station. Update frequency is stated as per item and daily.
For operating reports and exception review, workflow routing has to link the line items on a return warehouse receipt, the physical condition shown in inspection photographs, the conclusion recorded on the grade determination sheet, and the disposition direction on the resale listing sheet into a checkable sequence. The entry point is the return record and the inspection conclusion. The output direction is the disposition flow toward resale or scrap. The routing task is to align human judgment with system records so that a report can be traced back to a specific document and photograph.
Constraints at the workflow routing step
Under the documented behavior, the form input node is a user-interaction node. When it triggers, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution continues after the user completes the interaction. The node collects the information the user fills in and passes it to later nodes. The user selection node also enters an interaction state and records workflow state; when the user makes a choice, the node evaluates that choice and executes the corresponding "yes" branch. The recorded interaction state is behavior of the interaction node itself. The documents do not describe a separate global state-recording switch, so none is assumed here. Collected information must be explicitly passed to later retrieval, decision, or interface nodes. Order writes, document backfill, and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or a later process.
Hypothetical paper exercise sample. The return warehouse receipt is numbered RT-2024-0312. The item is a specific model of Bluetooth earphone. The return reason field reads "customer seven-day no-reason return." The inspection photograph shows light scratches on the outer casing. The grade determination sheet gives an initial judgment of grade B, resalable. The resale listing sheet has not yet been generated. The draft sentence awaiting judgment is: "This return has completed inspection and can be listed for resale directly." The points to compare are whether the four materials agree on subject, object, and status, whether the determination sheet conclusion and the listing sheet have both been produced, and whether the inspection conclusion has entered an executable disposition state.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Setting or check item on this page | Relation to the sample |
|---|---|---|
| Form input node | Triggers into interaction state; collects required information | Collects the grade and disposition opinion entered by the inspector |
| User selection node | Executes the "yes" branch after the user makes a choice | Branches between "resalable" and "needs re-inspection" |
| Interaction state check | Recorded state is behavior of the interaction node | Checks whether RT-2024-0312 is still awaiting submission |
| Output handoff check | Collected information is passed to later retrieval, decision, or interface nodes | Checks whether the determination sheet conclusion reaches the listing process |
| External operation split | Order writes, document backfill, and external synchronization use separate interfaces | Generation of the resale listing sheet is not completed inside this node |
Hypothetical trial starting point for this page: the required form fields are set to grade and disposition opinion, because one return item needs at least these two values before branch judgment can proceed. The comparison method is to run the same sample with only the grade field collected and observe whether the branch lacks a disposition direction. This is a hypothetical starting value, not an official default.
Three common errors
- Treating the recorded interaction state as a global state switch. The documents describe the recorded state as behavior of the interaction node. If a separate global state-recording item is added in configuration, input and output no longer correspond. The check is to compare the described conversation state before and after the node triggers.
- Assuming that information collected by the form is passed to later nodes by default. The documents require explicit passing. If the output is not connected, the grade determination sheet conclusion stays inside the form. The check is to compare the submitted form values with the downstream node input parameters.
- Treating generation of the resale listing sheet as completed automatically by this node. The documents state that order writes and document backfill require a separate interface. If the flow assumes automatic generation, the check is to inspect whether the listing sheet is produced by a later process.
How to verify the setup
- Enter the four source materials for hypothetical sample RT-2024-0312 together with the draft sentence. Compare "has completed inspection and can be listed for resale directly" in the draft against the determination sheet conclusion and the existence of the listing sheet. If the listing sheet has not been generated, the disposition state described in the draft is unsupported and is recorded as pending verification.
- Enter the hypothetical setting in which the required form fields are grade and disposition opinion. Compare whether the output after form submission reaches the later branch node. If the downstream input parameters lack the disposition opinion, the output handoff is incomplete and is recorded as needing correction.
- Enter the "resalable" branch of the user selection node. Compare whether the branch, once executed, enters the resale listing process. If the branch is not connected or does not execute, the disposition flow is incomplete. Record the observed result and do not infer a system error cause from it.
