What the documents look like
On-demand retail fulfillment processes online orders on a minute-by-minute cadence. This differs from store inventory counting and loss prevention, which runs on a periodic stocktake rhythm. The generic brief records a per-order, minute-level update frequency for this category. This page does not derive batch synchronization, full synchronization, real-time triggers, or transaction-triggered mechanisms from that frequency. Where the frequency is not relevant to the routing step, it is left out.
The daily documents in this category are instant orders, picking lists, out-of-stock reports, and delivery exception forms. Sources named in the brief include Douyin on-demand retail, the Meituan or JD Daojia backend, store inventory, and rider tracking. When cross-border materials and multilingual retrieval operate on these documents, workflow routing has to move picking lists, out-of-stock reports, and similar materials into retrieval, pass retrieval output or human-entered values to later nodes, and separate behavior a node already has from business actions that require a separate system connection.
Constraints at the workflow routing step
The Form Input node and the User Selection node are both user-interaction nodes. When either node is triggered, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution continues after the user completes the interaction. Form Input collects required information and passes it to subsequent nodes after submission. User Selection evaluates the user's choice and executes the "yes" branch. The interaction-state record and the hidden dialog box are node behaviors. The documents do not give submission counts, automatic judgment, or snapshot guarantees, and this page does not add a global state-recording switch.
Retrieval output does not constitute authorization. Order writes, document backfill, and external status synchronization require a separate business interface or a subsequent process. Libraries that use different vector models cannot be associated together. The check is to inspect the library identifier and exclude those that do not match, not to run a cross-model retrieval and compare recall. An empty-result handoff can be checked against a clearly stated paper input to inspect downstream design; this page does not claim that a given rule's retrieval necessarily returns an empty array. RRF is a hybrid-result fusion process and is not written as a toggle.
Hypothetical paper exercise: On March 18 at 14:20, a picker at a supermarket home-delivery store submits an out-of-stock report. The source text reads: "Item X in instant order A is out of stock. Request substitution with item Y. Weight after substitution is consistent. Awaiting confirmation from the store duty supervisor." A proposed sentence reads: "The out-of-stock report has been authorized for substitution and delivery status can be returned directly." The proposed sentence treats a pending confirmation as an authorization and skips the separately connected delivery-status synchronization process.
Configuration and implementation checks
The table below is tied to the hypothetical exercise above. It lists only settings the official documents describe or implementation checks. Where a value is needed, it is marked as a starting point for this hypothetical exercise, with the comparison object stated.
| Configuration or check | Setting or action | Comparison against the exercise |
|---|---|---|
| Form Input node | Collect required fields of the out-of-stock report | After submission, compare each field against what is passed to later nodes |
| User Selection node | Duty supervisor chooses confirm or reject | After the choice, check whether the "yes" branch or the other branch executed |
| Interaction-state check | On trigger, enter interaction state and record workflow state | Compare the conversation-state description before and after the trigger |
| Output handoff check | Pass form information to a later retrieval or judgment node | Compare input fields against the values the downstream node received |
| External action separation | Order writes, document backfill, and status synchronization connect to a separate business interface | Check whether an interface or subsequent process carries the business action |
| Retrieval library identifier check | Inspect the vector model identifier of the library | If identifiers differ, exclude; do not associate across models |
Three common errors
- Writing a pending confirmation as an authorization. In the exercise, the duty supervisor has not yet chosen, and the proposed sentence says the substitution "has been authorized." This treats a pending review as an approval. The check takes the proposed sentence and the report source text as input, compares the authorization-state field, and is satisfied only when an explicit confirmation record is present.
- Treating retrieval output as execution authorization. A retrieval hit on a substitution rule does not mean order writes or status synchronization have been authorized. The check takes the retrieval output and the proposed sentence as input, compares whether an interface or subsequent process carries the action, and records the gap as unresolved when it is absent.
- Associating libraries that use different vector models. When the exercise's retrieval library identifier differs from another library's identifier, the mismatched library is excluded and the actual observation is recorded. This page does not infer missed recall or redundant results from that mismatch.
How to verify the setup
- Form Input and User Selection handoff check. Input the exercise's report source text and proposed sentence, then compare whether submitted fields pass to later nodes and which branch executes after the choice. The expected result is field-by-field correspondence and a branch consistent with the choice. When no confirmation record appears, the authorization state remains pending verification.
- Empty-result handoff check. Input a paper empty array and check whether the downstream design handles it as an empty result. This page does not claim that a given rule's retrieval necessarily returns an empty array. The expected result is a clear downstream path for empty values; if it cannot be observed, record the gap.
- Retrieval library identifier and authorization boundary check. Input the exercise's retrieval library identifier and the target library identifier, and compare whether they use the same vector model. If they differ, exclude. At the same time, check whether order writes, document backfill, and status synchronization have a separate interface carrying them. The expected result is that association is permitted only when identifiers match, and business actions have a clearly identified carrier. When either is missing, keep it as unsupported.
