What the documents look like
Group-buy leader operations manage community nodes and commission, and do not perform cold-chain quality inspection directly. The daily documents are leader agreements, commission tables, pickup lists and community announcements. This category updates daily and per group, so the same batch of material can change several times within one day. In cross-border and multilingual settings, one leader agreement may contain a Chinese version and a version in another language, a commission table carries currency and settlement-period fields, and a pickup list gives goods and quantities by group and by date.
Document parsing and chunking must keep conditions, explanations and the content they constrain together. A commission rate belongs with its effective period; a pickup list entry belongs with its group-point number and date range. After material changes, a successful upload does not mean retrieval has updated. The actual training and index status needs to be checked. In this category, the practical consequence of getting this wrong is leader attrition, wrong or missed deliveries, and community complaints.
Constraints at the document chunking step
Chunking needs to preserve the document identity and version that allow a passage to be traced back to its source. When multilingual versions coexist, a passage without a traceable version cannot be attributed to a specific agreement. One set of original data can map to multiple indexes, and a single passage can be given several indexes during segmentation to improve recall precision, but index count and content length involve a trade-off.
Semantic retrieval supports cross-language understanding, so a Chinese question may match material in another language. This capability depends on vector-model training quality and precision is not stable. Full-text retrieval suits numbers, models and proper nouns. Hybrid retrieval merges the two paths through RRF. Reranking requires a model and is enabled by settings; not every request executes every path. The relevance score is a filtering threshold and does not perform permission or entity isolation. Retrieval scope is determined by the library; a collection is used only for classification management and does not affect search results. Retrieval is not authorization.
Configuration and implementation checks
The following configuration addresses this page's sample and lists only settings described in the official material or implementation check items.
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting point for this trial | Reason and comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Search mode | Hybrid retrieval | The sample contains group-point numbers and natural-language questions, requiring both exact and semantic matching; compare hit situations against semantic retrieval alone |
| Minimum relevance | Hypothetical starting point 0.3 | Sample questions are short, so a middle value is taken first; compare remaining result counts against 0.2 and 0.4 |
| Reference limit | Hypothetical starting point 800 tokens | Sample source text is about two sentences, leaving context margin; compare reference completeness against 400 and 1200 |
| Question optimization | Enabled | Sample questions contain references and need subject completion; compare consecutive follow-up hits against disabled |
| Result reranking | Enabled | Hybrid retrieval produces more candidates and needs secondary ordering; compare ordering stability against no reranking |
| Chunk version identifier retained | Check item | Confirm each passage can be traced to an agreement version; record a gap if it cannot be traced |
Three common errors
- Treating a successful upload as updated retrieval. After material changes, the actual training and index status needs to be checked. The upload action and index activation are two separate stages. Before verification, retrieval results may still come from the old version.
- Treating minimum relevance as a permission filter. This value only filters low-relevance results and does not exclude unrelated business or unauthorized records. Retrieval scope is determined by the library, and permission requires a separate system implementation.
- Treating RRF as a switch that can be turned on. RRF is the fusion process for multiple result paths inside hybrid retrieval and is an internal part of the retrieval chain. No independent switch for it exists among the configuration items.
How to verify the setup
Hypothetical trial sample: the source text is "Leader Agreement version A, clause 3: This agreement takes effect on March 1, 2025, and applies to community nodes in South China. Commission Table version B: from March 1 to March 31, fresh-produce commission rate is 8%." The draft sentence to be assessed is "Leader Agreement version A, clause 3 confirms that this agreement takes effect on March 1, 2025, with a commission rate of 8%." This draft sentence combines the agreement's effective scope with the commission rate. The commission rate comes from Commission Table version B and carries a period limitation, and the draft sentence does not retain the period field.
- Input the draft sentence and the two source passages above, and compare whether the draft sentence retains the period limitation on the commission rate. If the draft sentence omits "March 1 to March 31," it is judged as not fully retaining the source condition, and the evidence gap is recorded.
- Input the question "When does the South China leader agreement take effect," and compare whether the retrieval return contains the source text of Agreement version A, clause 3. If the return contains that clause and the version identifier can be traced, the condition is met. If the return is empty, record it as a miss and do not infer a cause.
- Input the group-point number "South China-001" and the natural-language question "How is fresh-produce commission calculated," and compare whether both paths of hybrid retrieval point to Commission Table version B. If both paths consistently point to that table and the period field is complete, the condition is met. If only one path hits, record the actual observation and do not claim the other path necessarily failed.
This page addresses only group-buy leader operations, cross-border material and multilingual retrieval, and document parsing and chunking. When operations are handed over, which materials, actions and requests are in which authorization state cannot be treated as authorization execution through retrieval or forms. A pending review does not demonstrate a lack of operating permission. Signing, reaching cooperation and contract effectiveness are three distinct facts. A quotation validity period does not indicate a supply period. Missing evidence remains missing.
