Dealer ordering events: interactive forms for operations handover

Review interactive forms for operations handover in Dealer ordering events. Check sources, input boundaries, error handling and repeatable test evidence.

What the documents look like

Dealer ordering events serve offline dealer reservations and do not directly manage platform storefronts. The working data comes from the ordering event system, historical sales, dealer inventory and financial credit. The brief gives quarterly and annual update frequencies, and the daily documents are the ordering handbook, the ordering contract, the sample list and credit approval. These materials sit at different states during an operations handover. A handbook is published material. A contract may be pending signature or signed. A credit approval may be pending review or already approved. The forms and interaction step has to record material state, submitted content and authorization boundary as separate facts, so that a completed form is not read as an approval outcome.

Constraints at the interactive forms step

The form input node is a user interaction node. When it is triggered, the conversation enters an interaction state, the workflow state is recorded, and execution continues after the user completes the interaction. The node collects the form information the user fills in and passes it to later nodes. It does not carry a business database function. The user selection node also triggers the interaction state and executes a branch according to the user's choice. Field validation, business approval, write-back and batch operations are implemented in an external system or in later nodes as needed. Retrieval and forms do not constitute authorization, and a similarity setting does not exclude unrelated business or unauthorized records. An empty-result handoff can be checked against a downstream design using an explicit paper input of [], and there is no basis to claim that a search under a fictional rule necessarily returns [].

Hypothetical drill sample: the material text for checking reads "A brand channel department issued the Spring Ordering Handbook on 1 March 2025, number S-2025-03, status published; Dealer A submitted the order quantity form on 5 March 2025, status submitted; credit approval form B, number C-2025-07, status pending review." One handover request to be judged reads "Dealer A's order quantity form has been submitted, therefore the credit line is approved and shipment may proceed." This request treats a submitted state as an approval. Pending review is not approval, and submitted is not ready to ship.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below lists, for the sample above, the officially described settings or implementation check items relevant to this feature and the primary task.

Configuration itemTypeDescription and checking method
Form input nodeExisting node behaviorEnters the interaction state when triggered, collects filled information and passes it to later nodes
User selection nodeExisting node behaviorEnters the interaction state when triggered, executes a branch according to the choice
Required information checkManual checking actionList the fields this task cannot omit, and test the behavior with the field missing and with it supplied
Field validationRequires separate implementationCompleted in an external system or later nodes; the node does not carry a database function
Credit approval statusManual checking actionCheck the approval form number and status; pending review is not treated as approved
Interaction state recordExisting node behaviorRecords the workflow state when triggered and waits for the interaction, then continues execution

The hypothetical starting point for this drill is: mark the order quantity field as required in the form input node, on the reason that a handover cannot be checked when this field is missing. The comparison method is to submit paper inputs with the field present and with the field absent, and observe whether the node enters the interaction state and continues execution.

Three common errors

  1. Treating a submitted form as an approved credit line. The input is "credit approval form B, number C-2025-07, status pending review" from the sample. The comparison is between "pending review" and "approved". The observable result is that the handover request still lacks approval evidence.
  2. Treating the user selection node as a personnel directory or a business data selector. The input is Dealer A from the sample. The comparison is between the branch behavior of the node and a business data query. The observable result is that the node only executes a branch according to the choice and does not return credit or inventory records.
  3. Treating retrieval or a similarity setting as a permission filter. The input is ordering handbook number S-2025-03 from the sample. The comparison is between retrieval results and the authorization scope. The observable result is that retrieval does not exclude unauthorized records, and permissions have to be checked separately.

How to verify the setup

  1. Using the sample text "A brand channel department issued the Spring Ordering Handbook on 1 March 2025, number S-2025-03, status published", input the handbook number for retrieval, compare the returned result with the handbook status, and observe whether a corresponding record of the published handbook appears. If an empty result is returned, record it as a gap and do not infer non-existence.
  2. Using "Dealer A submitted the order quantity form on 5 March 2025, status submitted" and the handover request to be judged, input the form submission status, compare "submitted" with "approved", and observe whether the handover request still lacks credit approval evidence. The condition for continuing the check is met only when the same approval form number appears with the status approved.
  3. Using "credit approval form B, number C-2025-07, status pending review", input the approval form number, compare the two values pending review and approved, and observe whether mutually exclusive values appear for the same field. If only a pending review record exists, record it as awaiting verification and do not judge it as approved or rejected.
