What the documents look like
For product questions in Warehouse picking and packing, this page examines FastGPT hybrid retrieval. Compare the material received with the sources used in the answer. The examples are hypothetical.
Constraints at the hybrid retrieval step
The self-drafted warehouse picking sheet describes a lightweight household vacuum cleaner whose stated function is vacuuming. It supports reading the function recorded on the document, without supplying an actual cleaning-performance test. Locate candidates linking name and function, then rerank with a complete product-and-function question. If another item’s longer description appears first, inspect the sources individually and establish whether the target product’s wording still reaches the final citation. “Lightweight” is a description in the example, without a supplied weight measurement. A follow-up about weight or handling conditions requires corresponding material. A highly ranked name-and-function passage cannot supply those missing values or establish a particular handling requirement.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Item or implementation check | Input or applicable condition | Traceable check |
|---|---|---|
| Fused candidates | Lightweight household vacuum and vacuuming function | Trace the target item’s original function wording. |
| Complete question | Robot-vacuum and handheld-vacuum descriptions | Retain both product terms and source identities. |
| Minimum relevance | Inspect under semantic or reranking conditions | Investigate recall of a recheck record missing before sorting. |
| Citation token limit | Association between product name and function | Check whether a long description displaces the other source. |
| Missing-source retest | Material, dimensions and intended settings are absent | A lightweight label is not a weight specification. |
Documented conditions
| Documented item / implementation check | Condition |
|---|---|
Hybrid retrieval | Vector and full-text results use RRF fusion. |
| Reranking | Reranking reorders candidates using the full question. |
Minimum relevance | Filtering applies to semantic search or reranking. |
Citation limit | Citation content is limited by tokens. |
Question optimization | Compare subjects and restrictions after optimization. |
Three common errors
A robot vacuum on the picking sheet and a handheld vacuum in the recheck record need separate product descriptions. Confirm that both are candidates and inspect document linkage and versions. Similar meanings do not make them one specification. Reranking cannot recover missing material: inspect recall when only one side is present, then examine order and citation trimming when both exist. Record whether the final answer omits the other description that requires review.
How to verify the setup
Name and quantity do not answer questions about material, dimensions or intended settings, and the available picking attachment supplies none of them. Test these attribute questions separately, looking for generic vacuum passages or wording beyond the original evidence. After adding the corresponding product information, check full citation of the added conditions. Acceptance concerns traceable attribute sources; a high rank or a surviving filtered result does not establish suitability for a particular setting.
