Central chain procurement: multi-turn prompts for copy drafting

Review multi-turn prompts for copy drafting in Central chain procurement. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

In central procurement and centralized distribution, copy drafting draws on four document families: centralized procurement contracts, replenishment plans, distribution orders, and store requisition forms. Procurement, warehouse, and store data arrive daily or weekly, and the drafting task cites contract clauses, distribution scope, and requisitioned quantities rather than store display state. This differs from price and display auditing, which inspects store-level presentation; here the focus sits with headquarters purchasing and distribution.

The practical consequence for multi-turn prompts is that earlier turns carry item, batch, and supply-scope references into later turns. A prompt needs to state the material scope and how to behave when evidence is absent. Fields not present in the source documents remain unknown, and the model does not write in supply deadlines or authorization conclusions that the materials never state.

Constraints at the multi-turn prompts step

History is checked against the context actually carried in, and a new session differs from a continued session in what the input contains. When a knowledge base requires continuous conversation, coreference resolution and question expansion are checked, and short-question applicability is not presumed. Model and length are checked against the selected model's supported context and reply ceiling, and long documents combined with follow-up questions are tested together. Reply format follows downstream consumption; selecting json_schema requires filling in the corresponding format requirement and verifying the returned structure. Retrieval handles recall and does not carry permission or entity isolation; a similarity score is not a category or authorization filter. Libraries built on different vector models cannot be associated together, so identifiers are checked first and non-matching libraries are excluded.

Hypothetical paper exercise: the source material reads in three sentences: "This batch of centralized procurement contracts covers the East China warehouse and distribution zone, with the supply period beginning March 1, 2025." "The distribution order states a per-store arrival quantity of twenty cases for this item." "The store requisition form notes that no additional requests will be added within this period." The draft sentence to be assessed is: "This product is supplied stably over the long term across the East China region, and stores may add requisitions at any time." The source contains the subject, object, and effective scope needed to compare whether the draft exceeds the material.

Configuration and implementation checks

The table below lists documented settings or implementation checks relevant to this feature and task, organized around the exercise above.

Configuration itemHypothetical starting value for this exerciseReason and comparison method
Memory roundsAssume 4 roundsThe exercise spans contract, distribution, and requisition materials, so earlier text must be revisited; compare with 2 rounds to see whether coreference is lost
Reply ceilingAssume 800Copy paragraphs need to be complete; compare with 200 to observe truncation
TemperatureAssume 0.3Copy relies on contract clauses and needs stability; compare with 0.9 to observe whether wording drifts from the source
Reply formatKeep defaultThis task outputs copy paragraphs with no fixed downstream structure; compare with json_schema, which requires an additional format requirement
Thinking levelAssume standard thinkingMultiple materials must be compared; compare with no-thinking to observe whether "add at any time" is misjudged
Stop sequenceNot setOrdinary copy output has no fixed end marker

These values are hypothetical starting points for this exercise, not official defaults, and the comparison method is to change the value on the same exercise and observe output differences.

Three common errors

  1. Treating similarity as a permission filter. Input: the three source materials in the exercise. Compare whether recalled results include records from unauthorized libraries, and observe whether unauthorized content appears. Similarity affects ranking only and does not exclude unrelated businesses or unauthorized records.
  2. Treating a pending review as approved. Input: the draft sentence and the contract source text. Compare whether "stable long-term supply" has material support, and observe whether an unstated supply deadline is written as established fact.
  3. Associating libraries across different vector models. Input: two library identifiers built on different vector models. Compare whether they are retrieved together, and observe whether recall appears that cannot be matched. Check identifiers only, exclude non-matching libraries, and do not compare missed recall.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the three source sentences and the draft sentence from the exercise. Compare whether the draft exceeds the material's scope, and observe whether "add at any time" and the requisition form's "no additional requests" are mutually exclusive values on the same field. The condition is satisfied if the draft retains the source scope.
  2. Input an empty reference list []. Compare how the downstream node is designed to handle an empty result, and observe whether fallback copy exists. An empty result returning [] is a documented condition; do not claim that a fictional rule retrieval necessarily returns [].
  3. Input a continued session under the same chatId. Compare the number of history rounds carried in against the configured value, and observe whether earlier coreference is preserved. Expect agreement with the setting, without claiming that testing has been performed.

The primary task on this page is drafting product and marketing copy for central procurement and centralized distribution. Whether a specific promotional sentence is supported by the materials is the question being checked, and this check is not an enterprise identity certification tutorial.
