Dealer ordering events: tool calls for document comparison

Review tool calls for document comparison in Dealer ordering events. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Brand dealer ordering events serve offline dealer reservations and do not directly manage platform stores. Contract and transaction material comparison at these events handles four document types: the ordering handbook, the ordering contract, the sample list, and the credit approval. These materials update by quarter or by year, and comparison work concentrates around the ordering event itself.

The ordering handbook states new-product policy and ordering rules. The ordering contract records the transaction agreement between dealer and brand. The sample list enumerates display samples. The credit approval records credit-line status. Fields may cross between the four types; for example, the ordered quantity in a contract and the minimum order quantity in the handbook, or the available credit line in the credit approval and the payment terms in the contract. Comparison must be scoped to the same entity, the same period, and the same field.

Constraints at the tool calls step

The tool call node lets the model decide from context semantics whether to call a tool. The tool description states the tool's purpose. Within tool parameters, the parameter description and the required flag together shape the call decision. Where a required parameter exists and the context lacks a suitable value, the model may not call that tool. System module parameters are fixed; plug-in parameters are configurable. The two must be checked separately.

In advanced orchestration, connecting an available tool to the tool call module separates tool input from ordinary input automatically, and the description can be edited to sharpen call timing. Starting with a small number of tools is advised for tuning. When the tool call termination node is attached after a given tool, it forces this call to end: no further tools are called, and the AI is not called to summarize tool results. Custom tool variables can supply variable input for nodes that are not treated as tool parameters.

Retrieval does not perform authorization. A similarity score is not an entity or permission filter, and it cannot be used to exclude unrelated business or unauthorized records. Knowledge bases built on different vector models cannot be associated together; identifiers must be checked first and non-matching bases excluded. The empty-result output of knowledge base search and context limits follow the documented conditions.

Hypothetical paper exercise sample: a brand channel department checks one ordering contract against one credit approval before an ordering event. The contract source text reads: "Dealer A reserves 200 units of Product A at this season's ordering event; the unit price follows the ordering handbook; payment method is wire transfer." The credit approval source text reads: "Dealer A's available credit line this season is CNY 500,000; status is pending review." The draft sentence to be judged reads: "Dealer A's ordering contract for this season has taken effect, and the credit line has been approved." The comparison scope is limited to Dealer A, this season, and the two fields of ordered quantity and credit status.

Configuration and implementation checks

Configuration itemHypothetical trial starting point for this exerciseCheck method
Tool descriptionState the input conditions for contract and credit material comparison and the situations where the tool should not be calledCheck the description text sentence by sentence against the comparison scope of this sample
Tool parametersPlug-in parameters list material type, entity, period, and field nameCheck parameter description and required flag; record a non-call when a required parameter is missing
Tool connectionsConnect only the contract-read tool and the credit-read toolCheck whether the connection points admit only these two tools, and observe the call record
Tool call terminationAttach after the credit-read toolCheck the termination node position and confirm no later AI summary call
Custom tool variableSupply field name and value description for the field-comparison nodeCheck whether the tool call actually uses this variable
Retrieval scopeLimit to the ordering contract base and the credit approval baseCheck base identifiers and vector model identifiers; exclude bases on different models from joint association

The hypothetical trial starting point applies only to this paper check and is not an official default. Two tools are chosen because this sample involves only contract and credit material; compared with connecting all tools at once, this makes the call record easier to observe.

Three common errors

  1. Treating a tool parameter description as an execution assurance. The parameter description only affects whether the model calls the tool; it does not ensure that a business result follows the call. The check must observe the actual request and return; a filled-in parameter does not mean the comparison was executed.
  2. Writing a pending-review status as approved. In the sample, the credit approval source text reads "status is pending review," while the draft sentence reads "the credit line has been approved." Mutually exclusive values for the same entity, same period, and same field are unsupported; approval cannot be concluded.
  3. Treating a retrieval result as an authorization basis. A knowledge base search returning contract text does not mean the contract has taken effect or that credit has been approved. The check must distinguish existing node behavior, configurable fields, and business actions that require a separate system implementation.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input the sample contract source text and the credit approval source text, then compare "has taken effect" in the draft sentence against the agreed status in the contract source, and "has been approved" in the draft sentence against "pending review" in the credit source. The condition is met only when the draft sentence is changed to a status description consistent with the source texts; the current draft sentence does not meet it.
  2. Check whether the tool call record contains only the contract-read tool and the credit-read tool, and compare the actual number of called tools against the number of connected tools in configuration. The condition is met only when the two match and no AI summary call follows the termination node.
  3. Check the vector model identifiers of the two retrieval bases and compare whether the identifiers are the same. Joint association is permitted only when the identifiers match; when they differ, exclude the non-matching base and record the gap rather than running a cross-model retrieval to compare missed recall. The retrieval check observes only returned results and failure branches; it does not ensure a first-hit result or full recall.

This page addresses only brand dealer ordering events, contract and transaction material comparison, and tool calls with plug-ins. During operational handover, the authorization status of materials, operations, and requests must not be treated as granted by retrieval or by a form. Retrieval and similarity do not perform permission or entity isolation. Where a system error or automatic business action is not stated in the source, no assertion is made. The distinction is maintained between existing node behavior, actually configurable fields, manual check actions, and business actions requiring a separate system implementation.
