What the documents look like
Shelf operations for a Douyin storefront depend on product cards and store experience scores for traffic, and inventory procurement records sit underneath several documents: qualification pages, experience score details, shipping violation appeals and store announcements. These materials update daily, and each order also produces new records, so purchase orders, supply evidence and qualification files remain in motion. Citation tracing requires every check to return to a specific document, version and field. A retrieved fragment serves as a lead. It does not replace qualification review or authorization confirmation.
The category differs from live-room operations in that it does not follow a single broadcast rhythm. Attention stays on product cards and store experience scores. Typical operators are store merchants, content commerce operators and product card operators. Errors in this area carry consequences such as traffic limits, violation points and consumer compensation. The three most time-consuming tasks reported for the category are maintaining experience scores, handling out-of-stock and unavailable items, and supplementing product qualifications.
For procurement and supplier materials, the practical difficulty is that a quotation, a business license copy and an authorization document are separate artifacts with separate validity conditions. A quotation states a price and a quotation validity period. A business license copy states an entity and a business scope. Neither states a supply period or a signing authorization. Citation tracing keeps those fields apart.
Constraints at the citation tracing step
The knowledge base search node can associate one or more knowledge bases that use the same vector model. Its output is an array of citations, and the length may be zero. When the array is empty, the downstream link still runs. The citation limit is measured in tokens. The minimum relevance value takes effect only under semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used. Hybrid retrieval merges multiple result paths through RRF. Reranking requires a rerank model and must be enabled in the settings. Image retrieval requires image input and corresponding model capability. Retrieval results and authorization status stay independent of each other. A similarity score does not perform entity isolation or permission filtering.
A hypothetical paper exercise sample, used only for this page: on 10 March 2025, a Douyin store merchant organizes supplier materials. The source text reads: "Supplier A, whose entity is a paper products business department, has a 2025 quotation listing the unit price for A-specification paper products, with quotation validity through 30 June 2025; a copy of the business license is attached, and the business scope includes paper products sales." A draft handover sentence reads: "Supplier A already holds supply qualification for the current year and can be ordered from directly." The sentence touches three checks: entity, period and field. The quotation states only a quotation validity period and does not state a supply period. The business license copy has no attached signature or authorization document. The judgment is pending verification. The sentence cannot be treated as granted authorization.
Configuration and implementation checks
| Configuration item | Hypothetical starting point for this exercise | Comparison method |
|---|---|---|
| Associated knowledge base | A supplier materials base using one vector model | Compare the base identifier and the vector model identifier; exclude any base whose identifiers do not match |
| Citation limit | Set to 3000 tokens | Compare against the length of the sample source text and observe whether citations cover the quotation fields |
| Minimum relevance | Set to 0.5 | Compare against rerank scores and observe whether low-scoring fragments are filtered |
| Search mode | Hybrid retrieval | Observe whether the semantic path and the full-text path are merged through RRF |
| Citation content output | Keep the array output | Use a paper input of [] and check whether the downstream node continues to execute |
| Material currency check | Records updated daily | Compare the current version against the historical version and confirm which version the citation points to |
These values are hypothetical starting points for this exercise. The reason for choosing them is to compare the sample source text length against the rerank score distribution. They are not official defaults.
Three common errors
- Treating the quotation validity period as a supply period. The quotation states validity through 30 June 2025 and does not state a supply period. These are different fields and cannot substitute for each other.
- Treating the business license copy as an authorization document. The copy states only an entity and a business scope. Signing, reaching cooperation and contract effectiveness are three separate facts. When authorization clauses are absent, the evidence gap remains.
- Treating a retrieval hit as authorization execution. The retrieval output is a citation array whose length may be zero. Retrieval does not perform permission filtering. A matched fragment does not constitute permission to place an order.
How to verify the setup
- Enter the sample source text above and the draft handover sentence. Compare the quotation fields against the wording of the draft sentence and observe whether the draft rewrites the quotation validity period into a supply qualification. If the rewrite occurs, the judgment is unsupported.
- Enter a paper empty array []. Compare whether the downstream node continues to execute and observe whether the empty citation is treated as an error that stops the flow. If the downstream continues, the condition matches the documented behavior.
- Enter the identifier of the supplier materials base that uses one vector model. Compare the vector model identifier of the selected base and observe whether a cross-model association exists. If the identifiers do not match, exclude that base and record the actual observation without inferring a runtime result.
