Livestream violation appeals: citation tracing for procurement

Review citation tracing for procurement in Livestream violation appeals. Check document scope, failure paths and source evidence through controlled tests.

What the documents look like

Livestream violation appeals respond to penalties that have already been issued, so the work is a retrospective review of the evidence chain rather than a forward-looking compliance program. The recurring materials are violation notices, livestream recordings, product qualification files, and appeal statements. These arrive from several places: the platform violation center, replay archives, customer service records, and the qualification repository. Inventory procurement and supplier records sit inside the product qualification evidence set. They are used to show where a penalized product came from during the incident period and which supplier entity stood behind it.

Updates are irregular. Each violation triggers one round of assembly. The citation tracing step asks a narrow question: can each factual statement in the appeal statement or handover material be matched to source text in a procurement order, supplier qualification file, or purchase receipt. The supplied brief gives an irregular update frequency, and this page does not derive batch synchronization or real-time mechanisms from that.

A hypothetical paper sample, not a real customer, is used below.

Source text one: "Supplier A supplied batch A goods to this store in March 2025, accompanied by one copy of its business license, valid until December 2026."

Source text two: "The procurement contract between this store and Supplier A is in pending review status; the parties have not yet signed."

Source text three: "Supplier A's quotation sheet states that the quotation is valid until June 30, 2025."

Draft sentence to be assessed: "This store has signed a procurement contract with Supplier A, the contract is in effect, and Supplier A held supply qualification in March 2025."

The subject needed for the assessment is Supplier A, the object is batch A goods, the status is pending review and unsigned, and the validity scope is a quotation valid until June 30, 2025. The draft sentence turns pending review into signed, turns an unstated effective date into effective, and treats a quotation validity period as a supply period. All three exceed what the source text supports.

Constraints at the citation tracing step

Citation content is output as an array, and its length may be zero. An empty array does not mean the workflow has errored or terminated. The search scope is limited to the selected knowledge bases, and only knowledge bases sharing the same vector model can be associated together. Knowledge bases with different vector models cannot be associated together; in that situation, verify the identifiers and exclude the non-matching ones. Do not run cross-model retrieval to compare missed recalls.

Retrieval is a recall behavior. It does not perform authorization judgment. A similarity score is not a subject, entity, or permission filter, and it cannot be used to conclude that a supplier record belongs to the current appeal case or is authorized for use. Forms collect values; business verification, approval, database writes, and external synchronization each require their own downstream implementation.

The search node outputs citations that feed a downstream answering step. Each statement in the answer must be checked against the source text for the same subject, the same period, and the same field. A pending request is not an approval. An offered option is not an execution. An unsigned termination is not a completed termination.

Configuration and implementation checks

ItemHypothetical starting point for this trialReason for the choice and comparison method
Associated knowledge basesSelect the knowledge base holding supplier qualification and procurement materialsFirst verify the vector model identifier of each knowledge base, and associate only those with matching identifiers; record and exclude non-matching ones
Search modeHybrid retrievalSupplier names and batch numbers are exact queries, while semantic retrieval covers natural-language phrasing; record the results of each mode separately
Citation upper limitHypothetical starting point of a small value measured in tokensThis value uses tokens as its unit; compare it against the total length of candidate passages and adjust; do not use a top-k framing
Minimum relevanceHypothetical starting point of a middle valueThis value takes effect only in semantic retrieval or when result reranking is used; compare it against the relevance score of recalled results and observe the remaining entries after filtering
Result rerankingEnabled according to the settingReranking produces a 0-1 score; compare it against the minimum relevance; when no rerank model is configured, reranking is not enabled
Citation handoffRetrieval output is passed to the answering stepCheck each cited source in the answer against the source text for the same subject, the same period, and the same field

Three common errors

  1. Treating pending review as signed. Source text two states that the procurement contract is in pending review status, while the draft sentence writes that it is signed and effective. Comparison method: take the contract status field of the draft sentence and the contract status field of source text two; when the two values differ, the statement does not hold. Pending review does not demonstrate a lack of operating authority, and it does not equal approval.
  2. Treating a quotation validity period as a supply period. Source text three states only that the quotation is valid until June 30, 2025, and the draft sentence concludes from this that supply qualification existed in March 2025. Comparison method: check whether the source text states a supply period in the same field; when it does not, record the statement as unsupported.
  3. Using a retrieval score in place of an authorization judgment. A similarity score reflects only the degree of content relatedness and cannot demonstrate that a supplier record has been authorized for use in this appeal. Comparison method: check whether the material states an authorizing subject and an authorization scope; when these are absent, record an evidence gap.

How to verify the setup

  1. Input source text one and the statement in the draft sentence about Supplier A's supply qualification, and compare whether the subject and period match. Source text one states Supplier A, batch A, and March 2025. When the draft sentence stays within that scope, the sentence meets the condition; when another subject or period appears, it does not.
  2. Input source text two and the contract status statement in the draft sentence, and compare the values of the contract status field. Source text two gives pending review and unsigned, while the draft sentence gives signed and effective. The two values are mutually exclusive in the same field, so the statement is judged not to hold. If the draft sentence is changed to pending review, it matches the source text.
  3. Input source text three and the supply period statement in the draft sentence, and compare whether the source text states a supply period in the same field. Source text three states only a quotation validity period and does not state a supply period, so the statement is judged unsupported. A voucher that states a supply period must be added before the check can be repeated.

For paper-based checking of empty-result handoff, an explicit input of [] can be used to check whether the downstream design runs through; do not claim that a particular rule's retrieval necessarily returns []. Retrieval checks record only the observed recalled entries and scores, and do not guarantee a first-hit match or a complete recall. Whether a given citation is ultimately adopted still depends on review against the effective version; retrieval itself does not constitute authorization, approval, or signing.
